Sixth Man Soirée

The brief
The Bucks Foundation's Sixth Man Soirée is a major fundraiser held right on the court at Fiserv Forum. The event called for a series of custom interactive experiences: a two-lane bowling alley, an arcade with a custom NBA Jam console, a tattoo studio, an indoor driving range, a lounge, a Family Feud-style game set, and a custom circular stage.
My role
I worked with the lead designer to bring each experience to life, then served as lead fabricator on site, coordinating multiple crews, including union stagehands, within a team of more than 70 people to get everything built correctly, safely, and efficiently.
The challenge
The entire event had to load in, run, and load out within 18 hours. Every vendor shared just four loading docks. Back in the shop, multiple design revisions and late-stage changes squeezed an already demanding fabrication schedule.
How I delivered
To keep fabrication on track, I brought in trusted partners at Urban Craftsman to help produce more than 700 individual pieces of wall slatting. On site, I sequenced crews and coordinated with other vendors to keep traffic moving through the four docks, so each experience went up in the right order without bottlenecks.
The result
Everything was built, ready, and struck within the 18-hour window. One Bucks executive sought me out to ask how we'd pulled it all off, and told me it was very impressive.
