Rehlko Dimensional Logo Sign

The brief
Rehlko needed a set of signature pieces for a two-day, basketball-themed event: a large dimensional version of their logo, a custom jumbotron display, and a stage built as a full maple basketball court.
My role
As lead fabricator, I machined, fabricated, painted, and installed the sign, and built the jumbotron display and the court stage. Carl Stevens created the 3D model of the logo and assisted with fabrication.
The challenge
Turning a flat logo into a clean, dimensional sign takes precision at every step, and I was essentially a crew of one, responsible for the work from the first model to the final mount.
How I delivered
Working from Carl's 3D model of Rehlko's existing logo, I adapted it for the CNC machine as a planar relief, so each character and symbol could be machined as its own piece from styrene foam. I then sanded, sealed, and painted every piece by hand before hanging and mounting the finished sign on site, while also fabricating the jumbotron display and the maple court stage.
The result
The client was blown away. They hadn't expected that level of detail for a two-day event.
